Legia Warsaw takes the next step in securing stadium safety

Legia is the first Polish club to invests in stadium safety with Safesight

Warsaw, 13 February 2020 – to further improve the safety & security processes during match days, Legia Warsaw will use the software of Safesight. The Netherlands-based software company will help the club to ensure that all parties involved in the safety aspect of the club will have the right information at all times. The Safesight platform is used by many music festivals and by football clubs like Feyenoord, FC Twente, Borussia Mönchengladbach and 1. FSV Mainz 05. Legia Warsaw is the first Polish club to work with Safesight.

Krzysztof Szumowski, Operations Manager at Legia Warsaw: “The platform offers us a continuous oversight of the status of our safety organization. Before our fans will enter our stadium, we can see that all mandatory actions to host a safe match day have been completed. Management knows for example that all the emergency routes and exits have been checked. And that all staff members have read their briefing and are fully up-to-date. In addition, all our stakeholders will work in a joint logbook. This helps the club to see immediately what is happening in and around the stadium.”

Edo Haan, founder of Safesight: “We are thrilled to start working for Legia Warsaw and thus for our first client in Poland. We gained a lot of experience in how to organize a safe match day from working with football clubs in the Netherlands and Germany. We can not wait to share these lessons with Legia Warsaw. Subsequently, we are convinced that the experience that we will gain from working with Legia Warsaw will help us in our quest to continuously improve our product.”
