Innovation is the driving force behind the services, audience experience and sustainability program of the Johan Cruijff ArenA. The Johan Cruijff ArenA does not innovate alone, but together with public and private parties. Supported by the European Fund for Regional Development of the European Union (ERDF), the Johan Cruijff ArenA and Safesight have developed a functionality that allows management to activate ‘pre-programmed’ scenarios via the Safesight platform. Think of the actions to be taken after an accident or during a stadium evacuation.
Scenario functionality
When activating a scenario – by an authorized user – the actions to be executed in that specific scenario appear in the log of the Safesight platform. In the event of an accident, think about collecting all information — including photos — before repairing the area. Or a check on the aftercare for bystanders involved after CPR. When an action is done, it can be ticked off and the action – including time – is automatically logged.
Not just for stadiums only
ERDF investments focus on key priority areas, such as innovation & research, the digital agenda and support for small and medium-sized enterprises such as Safesight. With its software platform, Safesight helps various organizations to work more safely, more efficiently and better together. The platform not only supports stadiums, but is active in many sectors. So not only stadiums such as the Johan Cruijff ArenA will benefit from this innovation – music festivals, conference centers and, for example, construction companies are also better able to guarantee a safe environment for their stakeholders.
